Map of the Greek Islands

There are over 2,000 Greek Islands (!) Thankfully for you, and me, only about 200 of the islands are inhabited. And then out of 200 inhabited islands, only around 80 of those have basic tourist facilities. The Greek Islands lie to the east and west of mainland Greece, in the Aegean and the Ionian seas. The map above is color-coded by region and lists all of the islands that are listed on this website.  Use the lists of the Greek Islands on the main menu above to read more about each region and the individual islands. Read more about each of the regions, and the best way to travel to, from, and between the regions, on this blog post, about the Greek Island regions here, and this blog post, about Greek Island hopping basics, here.
